Coating and lamination are two distinct processes used to enhance fabric properties. In coating, a layer of plastic is applied directly to the fabric surface. Lamination involves bonding a plastic film to the fabric using adhesives or heat. Each has unique advantages — learn which one suits your application best.
From abrasion resistance to UV stability, selecting the right coated fabric requires balancing performance and cost. Our guide covers the key factors: end-use environment, flexibility requirements, thickness, colour fastness, and regulatory compliance.
Impregnation fills the fabric structure with plastic resins, resulting in improved dimensional stability, flame retardancy, and resistance to moisture. This makes it ideal for automotive and industrial applications where longevity is critical.
